You owe it to yourself to Get Off the Grid!\nWe’ll have group activities each day that you can partake in. Or you can sit by the fire and read a book\, go for a simple walk or an intense hike\, polar plunge in the glacial water of the Boulder River\, try your hand at fly fishing or work on a jigsaw puzzle. The adventure is what you make it! \nHere’s a little snippet of previous years: \nhttps://happyeatshealthy.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Off-the-Grid-in-Montana.mp4\nHere’s what a few of our previous guests said:\n\n“…take a wellness break in a beautiful\, natural setting”: \n\n“This experience was my first trip to Montana and I can’t wait to go back!  Getting into the mountains was just the break I needed to refocus on my health and relaxation. Monique is a wonderful host who welcomed us into her family’s charming cabins located within the most gorgeous national park. Morning walks\, fly fishing\, hikes\, and cooking lessons were coupled with down time for books\, cards and puzzles. Breakfast from the grill\, healthy meals and snacks\, and cocktail hour with mountain views made you feel like you were at sleep-away camp for adults! I would recommend the Montana trip without hesitation for anyone looking to take a wellness break in a beautiful\, natural setting.”\n-Carrie J\n\n“It was a great way to disconnect and recharge my batteries”:\n\n\n“Montana is one of the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited! The rustic quarters were quaint and comfortable and the environment Monique created was so unique and special. I experienced so many firsts\, from learning to fly fish and building a proper fire to seeing gentle moose in the wild. We hiked\, saw wildlife\, dipped our feet in the river with a GnT in hand and completely relaxed. It was a great way to disconnect and recharge my batteries!”\nJulie L\n\n\nThis isn’t a hard\, itinerary-driven retreat. Wellness comes in many forms and we are creating an opportunity for you to embrace the time you need to rejuvenate and heal. There are lots of trails that offer stunning views if you are ready for a solid hike\, but there’s so much to see without even getting on a trail.\n\nSample Itinerary:\n\nThursday: arrive\, drive up the mountain. Hang in front of the fire\, have a glass of wine or cup of tea\, sit on a large rock on the side of the river with a cup of tea and journal. It’s your time. \nIs the hiking hard? Most of these hikes start as switchbacks\, so they offer a very good workout. If that isn’t your thing\, just walking on the road is pretty and a healthy walk. \nWhat is Gravity Stretch? This is a revolutionary way to stretch the body and relieve fascia muscles which eases pain in the body and allows for more freedom of movements. Hold time of stretches begin at 2 minutes. \nWhat will the weather be like? Every year is different and the weather is unpredictable\, but it’s essentially gorgeous fall  Mountain weather in the day reaching 60’s and 70’s with chilly mornings in the 30’s. One year it snowed and it was glorious. \nWhat can I expect in terms of food?  In this mountain retreat you can expect healthy\, comfort food with a side of meat and/or fish.  Many of my retreats are heavily plant-focused but due to the hearty conditions\, we will be enjoying more animal protein than typical. We accommodate all food sensitivities with proper notice. \nWhat to wear: Layers\, lots of them. See the above statement on weather. I tend to be cold\, so for morning walks I wear leg warmers\, coat\, hat and mittens. By the end of the walk\, when the sun peaks over the mountain ridge\, the layers get peeled off. \nReach out directly to Monique for registration.

SUMMARY:Monday Morning Motivation
DESCRIPTION:~~Every Monday Morning\, starting May 5!~~\nMonday mornings are such a drag!\n\nThe Fun is Over:  For most people\, Monday signals that the weekend has come to a close and the fun is over.\nCircadian Rhythm Disruptions: If you stay up later than normal and sleep in on the weekends\, this throws off your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle\, making it harder to wake back up earlier on Monday morning.\nWork Week Woes:  Work can feel daunting\, especially if you pick up your phone and look at emails while still in bed. Your mind gets hijacked before it has a chance to wake up.\nSnoozing = Grogginess:  Research has actually proven that hitting the snooze button disrupts your sleep cycle and creates more fragmented sleep\, which results in you feeling more groggy and disoriented.\n\nSo what’s the answer to the Monday Morning Blues?\nThere’s a link between our morning routine and focus\, resilience and longevity.\n\nOne great analogy is to think of your nervous system as a ship.\n\nIf the ship is aimed in the right direction early on\, versus floating aimlessly in the vast ocean\, hoping the waves take you to the right place\, it’s much easier to stay on the intended path for the rest of the day.\n\nHydrating\, activating your nervous system\, and practicing mindfulness are all ways to affect the ship’s trajectory.\n\nOn the flip side\, the stress of a rushed morning produces extra cortisol\, raising your blood sugar and creating feelings of restlessness and anxiety.\n\nNot a great way to start the day.\n\nIt’s hard to define what a good morning routine is. There isn’t a formula that’s best for everyone.\n\nIf you’ve seen the ridiculous 5-hour morning routine some ‘influencers’ are touting…. this aint that!\n\nResearch has proven the only way to sustainable change is through small\, achievable goals; ones that you can be consistent with.\nMonday Morning Motivation\nThat’s where Monday Morning Motivation comes in.\n\nJoin me as we add one simple\, 15-minute mindful morning practice into our day.\n\nTotally doable for any and every level.\n\nTogether\, we’ll:\n\nWake up the nervous system.\nEnergize the body.\nInfluence your mindset and mood and take charge of your inner voice.\n\n\nBut Monique\, I already go to the gym.\n\nFantastic. This isn’t about getting in the best workout of the week.\n\nIt’s about righting the ship and setting the tone for the day\, and heck\, maybe even the rest of the week.\n\n\nYou get:\n\nAccountability.\nGrow your resilience.\nStrength in doing it together.\nA morning routine you can recreate every morning.\n\n\nFifteen Minutes.\nEvery Monday morning\, LIVE at 6:45am CT\n\nWill you add yourself to this group?\n.\nSessions are LIVE and recorded.\nIf the timing doesn’t work for you\, simply watch the playback at your preferred time.\n\nUpon purchase\, you’ll be sent the virtual link.\n\n \n

SUMMARY:Off the Grid in Montana
DESCRIPTION:Adventure awaits for those ready to really get away.\n\nStunning setting nestled in the Beartooth Range\, situated right on the Boulder river. Each day is yours to claim – Whether it’s glorious hiking\, moose watching (fingers crossed)\, or lounging on the patio overlooking the river with a G&T in hand. The fall colors are right out of ‘ A River Runs Through It’ (which was filmed nearby lower on the mountain.)\n\nNo internet service is available (seriously\, you need this!) unless you have a satellite service. Rustic cabins with running water (full bathrooms with shower)\, heated by fireplace and potbelly stoves. Shared accommodations across three cabins with king & queen & full beds (one private cabin with a full living/kitchen/bath and bedroom is available – great for a couple or friends.) There is a landline phone.\n\nOur on-site mountain man will teach you to build a proper fire\, cook pancakes outside with bacon on the grill\, how to cast a fly rod and then grill up that fresh catch.\n\nIt’s the most exciting\, relaxing\, beautiful\, adventurous thing you’ll do in years. \nHere’s a little snippet of last year: \nhttps://happyeatshealthy.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Off-the-Grid-in-Montana.mp4 \nHere’s what a few of our previous guests said:\n\n“…take a wellness break in a beautiful\, natural setting”: \n\n“This experience was my first trip to Montana and I can’t wait to go back! Yes \nIs there electricity? Yes \nIs there internet? NO!  A landline phone on site. \nWill I see wildlife? Probably. Last year we experienced moose. deer and a black bear. So majestic. \nDo I have to hike? Nope. You can do whatever feels good! In this mountain retreat you can expect health\, comfort food with a side of meat and/or fish.  Many of my retreats are heavily plant-focused but due to the hearty conditions\, we will be enjoying more animal protein than typical. We accommodate all food sensitivities with proper notice. \nWhat to wear: Layers\, lots of them. See above statement on weather. I tend to be cold\, so for morning walks I wear leg warmers\, coat\, hat and mittens. By the end of the walk\, when the sun peaks over the mountain ridge\, the layers get peeled off. \nReach out to Monique for registration.

SUMMARY:Virtual Blissful Yoga & Chocolate Cooking Class
DESCRIPTION:This Valentine’s Day\, join us for an all-encompassing “Chocolate Yoga”. \nWe will begin the class with a mindfulness practice while eating a piece of chocolate of your choice. Monique will guide you to focus on the taste and sensations of eating the chocolate one bite at a time. It is a common meditation technique to focus your attention on one point\, object\, or feeling. Chocolate meditation allows us to experience the broad spectrum of taste sensations and enjoy every bite. The combination of stress-relieving meditation and the anti-oxidant qualities of chocolate help to improve mental well-being and enhance mood. \nJennifer will then continue with a 60-minute yoga practice of gentle movement & breath\, stretching\, and maintaining present awareness. The class will be heart-centered & focused on embodying loving awareness. \nAfter yoga\, we adjourn to our kitchens to create a warm and sultry\, savory chocolate dinner. Vegan and Gluten Free! \n*Recipes & Zoom link will be sent upon registration. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister via Eventbrite

Check out the FAQ’s below: \nDo I have to do all the yoga?\nWe offer 2 classes per day and you are welcome to engage in as much or little as suits you. Every class offers different forms and aspects\, so you might be tempted to join each to learn which ones speak to you. Do men attend?\nAbsolutely! I’m not a typical ‘retreat’ person\, so I’m nervous it will be too ‘woo woo’ for me.\nI’ll be honest\, I was worried about that at my first retreat too\, so we create a very open environment where you can make it what you want it to be. What else do we do besides yoga?\nHike. Hot tub. Get a massage. Sit by the bonfire. Shop. Work on a puzzle. Read a book. Eat chocolate. Sleep in. Get another massage. Have a glass of wine\, if desired. Bliss out in a reiki session. Learn Tai Chi. Bid farewell to the setting sun and cheer the sun rising. Can I get my own private room?\nYes! Shared options are also available if you come with a friend. Will I be hungry?\nPredominantly plant-based breakfast\, lunch\, dinner\, and snacks are cooked fresh by me\, your wellness chef. This isn’t meant to be a detox retreat\, though every past participant has left feeling lighter and\, more importantly\, connected intuitively with the impact food has on their body. We don’t want anyone to go hungry so you can saunter into the kitchen anytime for a snack and\, as an added bonus\, you may find yourself in a private li’l cooking class. \n\nGet to know your retreat leaders: \nCheck out Jennifer at www.tinydanceryogi.com/ \nCheck out Monique at www.happyeatshealthy.com/ \nClick this link to view Moondance Retreat Center https://globalalliance.properties/sedona-listing/moondance-sanctuary \n \n**$500 nonrefundable deposit to reserve your spot \n \n**Contact Monique or email jennifergoodman1111@gmail.com to reserve your room!

The summer memories are fading and the stress of navigating the holidays is looming … it’s not hard to imagine why sleep might be tenuous. \nA change in season is a great time to simplify your perspective. Give your digestive system a break\, give your emotional self a soft landing place and clear any accumulated toxins from the body and mind. \nWHOLE FOODS\nThis is not a fast — it’s a program to re-set your digestion with simple\, nourishing whole food. \nEven if you think you’re too busy\, rest assured — this isn’t a life takeover. It is about slowing down\, preparing good food\, and finding a few moments of pause. When you create these intentions in your life\, you will set yourself up for the coming months by fortifying your system on all levels. \nI’m going to walk you through the whole thing\, we’re going to do it together. I’ll be there for you every step of the way. \n  \nRegister today- we start on Tuesday\, October 10! or contact Monique@happyeatshealthy.com for additional payment options \n  \nThe premise of this Whole Foods Autumn Reset is steeped in Ayurvedic principles. \nA fall pause allows us to harness our energy\, hit reset on our food intake and on our digestion system\, and it keeps us healthy and energized. \nPart of the eating program is focused on Monomeals with Kitchari and Congee. They are just like they sound\, a meal comprised of one (or in this case just a couple of) ingredients. Monomeals are not a “fad”\, “diet” or anything you do long-term. This is just an easy way to give your body a BREAK from trying to sort out all the different enzymes needed to break down protein\, carbs\, fat\, as well as those mysterious additives and fillers permitted in our food system. \n\nBONUS: upon registration\, you’ll begin receiving tips one week prior to our kick off date to help you get prepared to get the most out of the program. It’s like getting an entire week free.\n\nReset your body for less than $10 a day. \nRegister via Paypal  or contact Monique@happyeatshealthy.com for additional payment options \n**YOU CAN START WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR YOU!** \nOfficially the group is starting on  October 10th. But if that timing doesn’t work for you\, or if you aren’t ready for whatever reason – no problem. Once you register you’ll be sent the guidebook and added to the Facebook group where you can start at your leisure.
