But what if you can’t eat nuts or seeds? Gah! This is the nut-free cheese recipe for you. 2 simple veggies, potatoes and carrots, blend into a creamy, dreamy Nut-Free Vegan Cheese Sauce that just might be your new go-to vegan cheese sauce for tacos, nachos, roasted veggies and plain ‘ole dipping.

Nut-Free Vegan Cheese Sauce
2 heaping cups white potato
1 cup carrots
2 tbls nutritional yeast
2 tbls lemon juice
1 garlic clove
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
~1/4 – 1/2 cup water
Boil the potatoes and carrots until soft. Strain and place in a blender, reserving water. Add the remaining ingredients and just enough of the reserved water to blend creamy, start with 1/4 cup. You can always add more.
Taste and adjust seasoning. Enjoy while warm.
