Playing sports on a hot day? Had one too many cocktails at that wedding last night? Perhaps you are under the weather? Or just feeling generally depleted? This homemade Gatorade is a simply way to increase electrolytes and hydration without all the refined white sugar and chemically treated ingedients in store-bought gatorade.
Hint: double, triple or quadrouple all the citrus and store in a mason jar in the fridge for up to a week. Then just pour and go when you need it most!
Homemade Hydrating Gatorade
1 lemon
1 lime
1 orange
1/8 tsp Himalayan pink salt
1 tbls maple syrup (optional)
Squeeze all the citrus. Add about half of the juice to a large glass of water along with the pink salt (and sweetener if using). Stir or shake and enjoy!
