Picture this: I tried out yet another toxic-free cleaning product in hopes to find one that fits my needs. Not expecting much, I opened the box and followed the instructions for mixing up various cleaners all from one concentrate of Branch Basics. I ended up cleaning the whole house from top to bottom. I was even on my hands and knees cleaning the baseboards (a true cleaner test)! Seriously, they never looked gotten so clean.
I’ve been on a search for a ‘cleaner’, toxic-free cleaner for a few years now. What I mean by a ‘cleaner’ cleaner is one that gets the job done without all the harshness of endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Sure, I could use vinegar and lemon, but it didn’t always cut the mustard.
Branch Basics was designed and formed by three women (added bonus in my book) who experience real health changes after creating a lifestyle with fewer chemicals. Many chemicals used in cleaning products, like phthalates, triclosan, formaldehyde, bleach, and synthetic fragrances, perpetuate chronic illnesses such as immune disorders, asthma, PCOS, thyroid disorders and so many more. When the label says ‘hazardous to humans and domestic animals,” you really have to ask yourself if this is worth using!
Branch basics is cool because you buy one concentrate and add various amounts of water to it to create all-purpose, bathroom and streak-free cleaners plus a laundry soap and a hand wash. There’s also an oxy-boost that assists where you would use something like a scrubber or comet. The best part of this non-toxic cleaner is that you can use it in the bathroom OR in the kitchen. The Branch Basics website has a lot of tips and tricks to clean everything, including stains.
I’m sounding like an infomercial here. But I’ve been on the hunt for toxic-free cleaners for a long time and I’m feeling really confident that I found my cleaner. ~insert happy dance here~!
Here’s the cool part, I have a $10 off coupon to share with you. Let me know if you decide to try it out, I’m curious how it works for you!
The one thing I haven’t tried yet is the dishwasher tablets. I did see a few mixed reviews on these, but I also notices that Branch Basics refunded the purchase for each of those reviewers without them asking. Huge props! I currently have these on order, so will update you soon.
